>Sure. In Marine boot camp they treat you like dog sh*t. I don't know what a "cold cell" is, but forced standing , stress positions, threats, exposure to extreme temperatures, and sleep and food deprivation are commonplace. Of course, any of those, and especially a combination of those techniques constitutes cruel and inhuman treatment under the Convention Against Torture, and is thus illegal in the context of prisoners or detained persons. Let me add, there is an ENORMOUS difference between receiving this kind of treatment from someone you know won't KILL you (someone who is basically on your side, and who is going to shake your hand in three months when it's all over) and someone who is your sworn enemy, whose limits are unknown, and who will never be held accountable if you die in the process. There's a big, BIG difference.
