In a Russian Foreign Ministry statement published on the ministry’s Web site, Aleksandr K. Lukashevich, a spokesman, said the Russian government would seek to have Mr. Bout returned home, but did not indicate how it would do so.

Ask yourself, "have there been prisoner swaps between Moscow and the West, our "innocents" for their convicted?" Of course jay-walking can be a very serious offense but the Ruskies have never been known to grab a tourist, have they? Could it be, the Ruskies already have someone we want back?
