I am currently writing from VIVE Inc. in Western New York which is a shelter for immigrants seeking entrance into Canada and the United States. These people who are seeking freedom and opportunity, are being jailed for breaking immigration laws, yes, but the women and children are being placed in prisons with the general criminal population. We're talking about innocent people being placed with murderers and drug dealers! We need to hold fair hearings on the issue of detainment of men, women and children because these conditions are in violation of the U.S. constitution, the highest law in the land.
