This article seems a little unfair in its neglect of the fact that Iran has been the target of information warfare by the US and its main regional ally. Such use of information warfare may be justified or may not be justified, but obviously any country targeted for attack will seek to strengthen its borders, i.e. it will reduce border crossings. Iran's strategy of information autarky is a regrettable but understandable response to international conflict.
