Joined Human Rights First in 2010
As New Media Content Specialist, Marc Jayson Climaco cultivates content for Human Rights First’s use in websites, email newsletters, and other online communications media such as podcasts. He helps to ensure that Human Rights First’s online presence and engagement campaigns project the organization’s brand and promote its advocacy priorities. Marc joined Human Rights First in 2010 as program and communications assistant, and is also the internship coordinator for the New York office.
Before joining Human Rights First, Marc provided media relations work for public health organizations as part of Geoffrey Knox & Associates, a communications strategy firm. Prior to that, Marc worked for two years in labor and campaign communications at UNITE HERE and SEIU.
As a Posse Foundation scholar, Marc earned his B.A. in Conflict Studies from DePauw University in 2007. His focus was on the intersections of political religion and political economy. His minors are in French and Religious Studies.
