Michaela Sanchez

Michaela Sanchez provides administrative and organizational support to the President/CEO. She also works closely with the Chief of Staff to coordinate the President/CEO’s daily priorities and long-term schedule.
Since moving to Washington DC in 2009, Michaela has worked as the Documentation Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, Refugee Processing Center in Arlington, Virginia. Prior to the Refugee Processing Center, she served as executive assistant to two vice presidents at Systems Research Applications (SRA) International. She also worked as a research associate at the Refugee Well-Being Project in Albuquerque, New Mexico and interned in the Washington office of the Center for Victims of Torture. Michaela currently serves as Associate Director of the Refugee Assistance Program of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, a volunteer position, where she manages other volunteers and assists an Iraqi refugee family.
Michaela graduated magna cum laude and received her BA in Psychology from the University of New Mexico.
