Lisa Besa
Chief Information Officer
Join Human Rights First in 2006

As Chief Information Officer, Lisa Besa leads the Info Services group in partnering with the program teams to achieve their goals. She also designs and supports the organization’s overall IS needs. In addition, Lisa is responsible for HRF’s Human Resources department.

Before joining Human Rights First, Lisa held executive positions in Information Technology at Verizon and Accenture. At Verizon, she managed a team of over 200 analyst/programmers in offices across the US and internationally in the Dominican Republic and India that supported the Enterprise Sales and Marketing business unit. At Accenture, she was part of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) lines of business, specializing in business process and systems solutions for the complex sales and customer care needs of clients such as Telstra, Cablevision, AT&T, Qwest, and Pearson.

Lisa holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Kansas State University (1989) and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin (1990).
