As Senior Associate in the Crimes Against Humanity Program, Ann-Louise advances that program's efforts to reduce the incidence and duration of mass atrocities around the world.

Prior to joining Human Rights First, Ann-Louise was Director of the Academy for Genocide Prevention at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which sought to engage foreign policy professionals in genocide prevention. Before this, she was Project Manager of the Genocide Prevention Task Force, convened by the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, The American Academy of Diplomacy and the U.S. Institute of Peace and co-chaired by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former Secretary of Defense William Cohen, which developed a blueprint for U.S. policymakers to prevent and respond to mass atrocities.

Earlier, Ann-Louise spent almost eight years at Africa Action, the oldest U.S. organization working on African affairs, where she held several positions including Director of Policy Analysis and Communications and Acting Co-Executive Director. She holds a M.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in European Studies.
