Lillian Dalke As the French-speaking Legal Assistant and Program Associate in the Refugee Protection Program, Lily Dalke is responsible for interviewing potential francophone clients, finding legal representation for clients accepted into the program, and providing support to partner attorneys for the duration of each asylum case. Prior to joining Human Rights First, Lily worked as the Employment Manager at Nontraditional Employment for Women, working to increase the percentage of women working in the unionized construction trades in New York City. She has interned with several immigrant workers’ rights organizations, including Neighbors’ Link in Mt. Kisco, NY and the Workplace Project in Hempstead, NY, and volunteered as a visitor to detained asylum seekers in York County Prison, Wackenhut Detention Center, and Elizabeth Detention Center. Lily spent a year abroad in Dakar, Sénégal with Kalamazoo College and earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in 2005. |
