Gina Taglieri

Major Gifts Officer

As a Major Gifts Officer at Human Rights First, Gina Taglieri has the responsibility of meeting and working with individual and group donors. She sees it as an honor that she gets to work with people who make Human Rights First’s efforts possible through their philanthropy and vision for a better world.

Gina has 17 years of experience in the nonprofit world, 16 of which she worked as either frontline fundraiser or director of development for a diverse group of organizations such as Columbia and Cornell University, the Manhattan School of Music, the New School, Turnaround for Children, and the Astraea Justice Foundation. As an adjunct assistant professor of English at SUNY / Fashion Institute of Technology, Gina has published numerous scholarly articles, reviews on jazz and American culture, and a students’ study guide to James Joyce’s Dubliners.

Gina has a B.A. in English and German Literature from Stanford University, and a M.A and a Ph.M in English & Comparative Literature from Columbia. She has also completed graduate work at the Freie Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
