Robyn Barnard

Advocacy Staff Attorney

Robyn focuses on providing services to and conducting advocacy on behalf of detained asylum seekers and asylum seekers in New Jersey.

Prior to joining Human Rights First, Robyn was a teaching fellow at Peking University’s School of Transnational Law in China. In this role, Robyn taught Chinese J.D. students international refugee law, among her other teaching responsibilities. Robyn has three years of experience working with asylum seekers in Australia and interned with several human rights law organizations throughout her law degree in Australia, Thailand, and the United States.

Robyn received her J.D. from the University of Melbourne and is admitted to the New York Bar.
