Shelley Ramsey

Legal Services Coordinator, Refugee Representation

Shelley Ramsey is a Coordinator / Legal Assistant with Refugee Representation in the Houston, Texas office where she assists the staff attorney in supporting pro bono legal representation of indigent asylum seekers.

Prior to joining Human Rights First, Shelley provided both direct legal and social services to refugees and asylees through refugee resettlement with Catholic Charities of West Tennessee and the Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance in Houston, Texas. Shelley spent a year living and working Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity International, providing Spanish interpretation and volunteer coordination.

She holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas
