What’s Next For Guantanamo and the Future of Counterterrorism?

Following the President’s landmark speech on counterterrorism strategy last week, join some of the nation’s most respected retired generals and admirals for a briefing and discussion on implications for this year’s National Defense Authorization (NDAA). With the authorization expected to be marked up in the House Armed Services Committee beginning June 5 and on the floor the next week, followed by Senate consideration of its defense bill, come explore what impact the speech may have as the bill moves forward. Some topics to be explored include:

- What is the future of the AUMF after the war ends against core Al Qaeda and the Taliban?
