Gracie Mansion Event will Honor Volunteer Attorneys Assisting Refugees Seeking Asylum in the U.S.
Human Rights First Pro Bono Attorneys Who Have Served Thousands Since 1980
New York City – Hundreds of guests will gather at Gracie Mansion tomorrow to celebrate the achievements of volunteer attorneys who serve refugees seeking asylum in the United States. The attorneys are affiliated with Human Rights First’s Refugee Protection Program and have served thousands of individuals since 1980. The event will feature remarks by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Human Rights First President Michael Posner. In addition to the attorneys honored during the event, a number of their former clients will be on hand to join in the celebration.
This event is open to the press. Members of the media who plan to attend must RSVP to Brenda Bowser Soder by Noon on Wednesday, July 8.
