USA

We work with the U.S. government to advance global strategies to combat hate crime. In order to promote this concept abroad, the U.S. should start by strengthening its response to hatred at home.

We’ve been successful in advocating for the passage of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crime Prevention Act, which improved the U.S. government’s ability to respond to hate violence.

We continue to monitor and report on incidents that occur here in the United States. Additionally, we call on public officials to promote tolerance and inclusion, and stand up to bigotry and hatred. You can join our efforts, too!
