Experts Agree that the United States Can Close Guantánamo
ACA Resolution: The oldest and largest corrections association in the world, the American Correctional Association, has resolved that America would be safe, if terrorist suspects are transferred to our prison institutions. Read the resolution here.
ACA Op-Ed: The ACA published an op-ed piece in the Miami Herald, asserting that U.S. corrections systems and professionals have the ability to handle terrorists transferred to U.S. soil, including to the Thomson Correction Center in Illinois.
ABA Resolution: The American Bar Association, the largest voluntary professional association in the world with more than 400,000 members, has praised Attorney General Holder on the decision to prosecute five Guantanamo detainees in federal courts for their alleged role in the 9/11 attacks.
