Guantanamo Bay: a Video Diary

Human Rights First’s Daphne Eviatar is in Guantanamo Bay to monitor the military commissions hearing for Omar Khadr, the “child soldier” arrested at age 15 and imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay for eight years now.

On her last trip to Guantanamo, Daphne shot some footage that we made into this video diary. It reveals some realities of the place and the perspective she gained from her visit. She was surprised at what efforts–and great costs–were spent constructing something that never needed to exist in the first place.

Our courts can handle terrorism cases–check out the facts behind the debate.

Sign our petition to close Guantanamo and use our federal courts.
