Cassie Estassi is an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow on the Refugee Representation team in the New York office. Cassie directly represents asylum seekers in New York and New Jersey.
During law school, Cassie represented an asylum client through Georgetown’s Center for Applied Legal Studies clinic. She interned at Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition, American Immigration Council, Bay Area Legal Aid, and the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. She also volunteered with the CARA Project. Prior to law school, Cassie served as a Jesuit volunteer at Catholic Charities’ Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance in Houston.
Cassie received a J.D., cum laude, and a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown University Law Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in International Studies from Boston College. Cassie speaks Spanish.
