As Director of Development, Gina Taglieri oversees all fundraising and outreach to individuals, law firms and corporations interested in our work. Together with a mighty team of 3 development staff members, she gets to engage with the people who make Human Rights First’s efforts possible through their philanthropy and vision for a better world.

Gina has 17 years of experience in the nonprofit world, 16 of which she worked as either director of development or frontline fundraiser for a diverse group of organizations in higher education, the arts, social justice, social & family services, and education reform. As an adjunct assistant professor of English at SUNY / Fashion Institute of Technology, Gina has published numerous scholarly articles, reviews on jazz and American culture, and a students’ study guide to James Joyce’sDubliners.

Gina has a B.A. in English and German Literature from Stanford University, and a M.A and a Ph.M in English & Comparative Literature from Columbia. She has also completed additional coursework at the Freie Universität Berlin in Berlin, Germany.
