As the operations manager for Refugee Representation in Washington, D.C., Lesley Kirby is responsible for working with management in all three offices to coordinate and oversee strategic and operational elements of the Refugee Representation program, with the goal of maximizing the program’s reach and effectiveness for asylum-seekers in the United States.
Lesley has several years of experience evaluating processes to optimize efficiency, as well as a strong familiarity with the legal landscape of international human rights. Prior to joining Human Rights First, Lesley worked as a paralegal for International Rights Advocates, the nonprofit arm of Conrad & Scherer, LLP, that promotes human rights and corporate accountability primarily through legal advocacy on behalf of victims of human rights violations worldwide. Before that, Lesley served as a project assistant for Jones Day.
Lesley holds a dual B.A. from the University of Virginia in Spanish and Foreign Affairs, with a regional specialization in Latin America.
