Statement for Congress: "The Release of Criminal Detainees by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement"

In a statement submitted to the House Judiciary Committee, which convenes a hearing on immigration detention, Human Rights First urged Congress to facilitate a transformation of U.S. immigration detention policies though legislation that brings U.S. practices into line with human rights standards and incorporates best practices from the criminal justice system.
