Retired Military Leaders Against Torture
Human Rights First works with a non-partisan group of retired Generals and Admirals: national security experts who spoke out about the danger of embracing policies of abuse when they learned that our country had abandoned its values and authorized torture. Members of the group stood behind President Obama on his second day in office when he signed Executive Orders to end torture and close Guantanamo, and pushed for the Obama Administration and Congress to release the torture report. The group continues work to ensure that America does not return to torture.
