View

We advance human rights in U.S. foreign policy by advocating for legislation and policies that elevate attention to human rights in U.S. foreign policy as well as their effective implementation; engaging in multilateral forums to advance human rights in the U.S. and elsewhere; and pressing for better U.S. human rights policies on particular countries or issues on which we have unique expertise.

ADVOCACY ON U.S. LEGISLATION AND POLICIES ON HUMAN RIGHTS

We engage with the U.S. Congress and Executive Branch to inform legislation and policies that promote human rights in U.S. foreign policy and foreign assistance. We also monitor the implementation of such laws and policies and their impact on U.S. security and prosperity.
