We conduct research and reporting on the impact of U.S. immigration policies in the interior, at our border, and with far-reaching repercussions outside of the United States, engage policymakers on Capitol Hill and at the state level as well as UN agencies and regional bodies, and work with partners to hold governments accountable when policies violate human rights.

Our policy solutions advance reforms to improve a dysfunctional immigration system while ensuring the right to seek asylum is protected in practice, not just in principle.

Our advocacy is informed by the lived experiences of refugees and immigrants and grounded in the belief that a strong democracy requires a system that treats people fairly and with dignity.
